Rooted in physical investigations of trauma, resilience, and hybrids, our artworks challenge the capitalism that pervades our culture. Born from action-based performance art, street theater, and noise music, we use disruption as a tool to alter perspectives and to encourage us to find multiple points of view. We aim to disarm and empower our audience through sonic and movement based performance and public interactions.

We connect national and international teaching artists with Chicago art makers across genres in the independent and fringe arenas (including dance, butoh, physical theater, experimental music). We collaborate with other artists to create opportunities for workshops, performances, and conversations about the body, for the body. Butoh Curious / Butoh Chicago

Our individual selves serve as microcosms of the collective body, and we keep our pulse on both, striking to find balance as much as possilbe. We honor our complicated relationship to not knowing. We wish to thrive and to transform endlessly, passionately and respectfully.
